Sustainability at the WACK GROUP
Our goal is to offer our customers sustainable solutions through our products. At the WACK GROUP, we are committed to acting responsibly toward both the environment and society.
Environmental Responsibility

Decarbonizing Our Own Company
Renewable Energy
We take responsibility for the environmental impact of our products, services, and business activities.
By reducing our CO₂ emissions, we directly contribute to climate protection. We achieve this by lowering our energy consumption and relying on sustainable energy sources. At our company headquarters, 100% of the electricity used comes from renewable energy. In addition, a photovoltaic system has been installed at our new site.
An initial carbon footprint assessment (Scope 1 & Scope 2) was conducted for our German site for the year 2023. We are currently working actively on identifying our Scope 3 emissions and integrating our global locations into the process.

Environmental Protection
Responsibility Toward the Environment
Our products offer superior protection against corrosion, wear, and abrasion compared to other products, significantly extending the service life of components and equipment for cars, motorcycles, and bicycles. In addition, we are actively reducing packaging materials and increasingly using recycled resources, such as recycled-content bottles and labels.
In the manufacturing process, our products are created by simply blending various raw materials – a naturally low-energy and low-emission production method. We have begun calculating the carbon footprint of our products (PCF) using the cradle-to-gate approach.
We deliberately avoid using substances with a high potential risk to humans or the environment – even when their use would be legally permitted. This voluntary commitment applies especially in our international markets, including Asia. While these raw materials are often more cost-effective, we choose not to prioritize profit at the expense of sustainability. We are confident that our more sustainable solutions will prevail in the long term.
Social Responsibility

Social Responibility
Anni Hofmann Foundation
Through the Anni Hofmann Foundation, we support medical research on glioblastoma. Our goal is to explore how the body’s own immune defenses interact in order to regenerate and stabilize them in the case of glioblastoma.

Declaration of Principle
Human Rights
Our self-authored human rights policy reflects our current operational values and practices, taking into account the requirements of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights as well as the conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO).

Employees
Modern Working Environment
When designing our new company campus, creating a modern workplace with digital tools and a healthy working environment was a top priority. The well-being of our employees is very important to us. That’s why flexibility, access to sports facilities, and an in-house cafeteria are key elements of our company culture.
Responsible Corporate Governance

Supply Chain
Code of Conduct
Sustainable and socially responsible business practices are the foundation of all our activities and the basis for strong, long-term business relationships. Our Supplier Code of Conduct defines the standards the WACK GROUP sets for itself – and expects its suppliers to uphold as well.

Whistleblower System
Whistleblower System
We are committed to uncovering and addressing misconduct. For this purpose, we have implemented a whistleblower system (also referred to as a whistleblowing hotline). Employees, suppliers, business partners, and even third parties can use this channel to report violations of rules and regulations.
The reporting office operates entirely independently from the WACK GROUP and guarantees confidentiality. It is managed by an ombudsperson who, due to legal professional privilege, the right to refuse testimony, and limited seizure rights, can ensure complete confidentiality.
Please note that knowingly submitting false information that leads to damage may result in the whistleblower being held liable.
Management Policy
Our management policy is based on an integrated approach that encompasses quality, environmental protection, occupational health and safety, and information security. It provides the framework for setting appropriate objectives and commits us to the continuous improvement of our integrated management system.
Quality Management
ISO 9001
Customer satisfaction is the most important foundation of our long-term market success. All company activities follow the core principle of either introducing entirely new products to the market or significantly improving existing ones. Since the company’s founding, this philosophy—combined with intensive research and close collaboration with our partners and customers—has led to the continuous development of innovative concepts and products in both business divisions: ZESTRON and Dr. Wack Premium Care. The quality of our products and services depends on the efficiency of our processes, the qualifications of our employees, and fair partnerships with our subcontractors and suppliers. Our quality assurance team performs 100% inspections to ensure that only products meeting our high standards are delivered to our customers.
Since 1994, our German site has been certified with a quality management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001.
Environmental Management
ISO 14001
We are aware of our environmental responsibility and consider environmental protection and the prevention of environmental impact to be core corporate objectives. Our aim is to reduce energy consumption and the associated CO₂ emissions and to switch to renewable energy wherever possible. In addition, we strive for high resource and material efficiency. Since 2018, our site in Malaysia has operated under a certified environmental management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14001.
At our German site, we are aiming to achieve ISO 14001 certification in 2026.
Occupational Health and Safety
ISO 45001
The safety and health of our employees is our top priority. Our goal is to prevent injuries and illnesses through preventive measures and to continuously improve occupational health and safety. As a manufacturer of cleaning and care products, we are fully aware of our responsibility toward both our employees and customers. Providing safe and health-conscious working conditions is a top priority and an essential part of our daily operations.
We are planning to achieve DIN EN ISO 45001 certification at our German site in 2027.
Information Security
ISO/EC 27001
Information security is an integral part and essential prerequisite of our business operations. All company-owned and entrusted information—particularly trade secrets and personal data—is protected against unauthorized, intentional, or accidental access, as well as against unauthorized alterations. The fundamental protection goals of confidentiality, availability, and integrity define the core values of our information security. These apply both to our internal systems and to systems operated on our behalf by third parties or service providers. Every employee is responsible for safeguarding the information they handle in their daily work. Since 2025, our German site has been certified with an information security management system in accordance with ISO/IEC 27001:2022.
